Culture Night – HSSR's fireworks display ends the festival with a bang 🎆🎇
Culture Night is the anniversary celebration of the city of Reykjavík and has been held annually since 1996. It takes place on the first Saturday after August 18th or directly on the city's anniversary if it falls on a Saturday.
The festival has grown over time and is now one of the largest and most popular festivals in Reykjavík, with around 100,000 people typically attending the city center to participate in the program.
HSSR organizes the Culture Nights fireworks display
Culture Night always ends with a spectacular fireworks display, and it is the Reykjavík Scouts' Auxiliary that is responsible for both its installation and execution.
This exhibition is one of the highlights of the festival and has become an essential part of Culture Night, where thousands of city residents and visitors gather to enjoy it.
Fundraising for the village
The fireworks display on Culture Night is not only a spectacular sight for visitors, but it is also important fundraising for HSSR. The income from the project goes directly to supporting the work of the unit, maintaining equipment and ensuring that it is always ready for calls.
By attending and enjoying Culture Night, you also support the work of HSSR – thank you for your support! 🎆💙
