Badge of the Reykjavík Scout Auxiliary 🟡✚🟢

The HSSR logo is one of the main identities of the band and has accompanied the club in various forms throughout the years.

Today, the emblem consists of a green equal-armed cross within a circle, on a yellow background, with the name of the band surrounding it. This form is simple, clear and easily recognizable – much like the band's work itself.

The history of the emblem dates back to around 1964, when the first version was released. It showed a green cross on a white background with the inscription Hjálparsveit skáta . The emblem was designed by Jóhannes Briem, the then platoon commander. Later the background was changed to yellow and the name was updated to Hjálparsveit skáta í Reykjavík . For a time the cross was red, but later it became green again, as it is today.

To ensure the use of the logo in modern media, it was localized and made scalable in later years by Árni Tryggvason, who brought it into an electronic and user-friendly form.

The logo stands for helpfulness, safety, and strong teamwork, and the club proudly wears it wherever it appears – whether on call, in training, or in daily work.
